  • Description:Bears' Breeches. The huge, 30" long leaves are deeply lobed and have prominent mid-ribs. White or pale pink flowers with purple-shaded bracts are borne in racemes 24-28" long in early to mid-summer. This has been a very hardy and long-lived plant in the garden, here. It thrives in shallow soils where a lot of other plants would perish.
